1.    Purpose:

The overall purpose of the Professional Graduate Nursing Program Admission, Progression, Graduation, and Scholarship Committee is to assure adherence with the guidelines and policies for admission, progression, graduation, appeals, and scholarship awards for the Master of Science in Nursing-MSN and the Doctor in Nursing Practice-DNP programs.

2.    Functions:

3.    Membership:

    a.   Voting members are the Chairperson and eight elected Members. The Chair shall be elected annually and will have served one year on the committee. The Members are faculty with graduate faculty status and each member shall serve two years. Six of the members will represent each of the specialty tracks. The tracks are: 1) Adult Gerontology (CNS, Acute Care, and Primary Care); 2) Family Nurse Practitioner; 3) Nurse Leader/Executive; 4) Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner; 5) Psychiatric Mental Health; and 6) Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. One member will represent the DNP program. One member will be chosen at large from West Nebraska, Kearney, or Northern Divisions.
 
    b.   There will be non-voting and ex-officio members on the committee. These include: the Associate Dean for Academic Programs, the Director of the DNP program, the Director of the PhD Program, a student services staff, and an annually appointed student representative.
