Policy

  1. Academic Suspension: After the period of suspension, the student must provide written documentation that the reasons which resulted in academic difficulty have been resolved. This may include, but is not limited to, letters from health care providers indicating the student’s health will not interfere with the student’s ability to meet program expectations. A written personal statement outlining steps taken to resolve issues that led to the suspension will also be required. After the period of suspension, the student may enroll in nursing courses as space permits and when prerequisites are met. Reapplication to the program is not required unless the suspension is greater than one year.
    • All reports and documentation should be submitted to the Director of the Undergraduate Program and/or Division Assistant Dean.
  2. Academic Readmission: A student who has been dismissed from the College of Nursing may apply for readmission. Please refer to Policy 5.2.23 for additional information and requirements.
    • All documents for this process will be submitted to the division-specific Student Services coordinator.
