Purpose
The purpose of this position description is to provide a broad overview of the roles of faculty members in the College of Nursing. It is aligned with College of Nursing Promotion and Tenure criteria (Appendices A.1, https://wiki.unmc.edu/index.php/CON_Standards_and_Guidelines_for_Promotion_and_Tenure_for_Academic_Rank; A.2, https://wiki.unmc.edu/index.php/CON_Standards_for_Promotion_for_Clinical_Rank; and B.1, https://wiki.unmc.edu/index.php/CON_Guidelines_for_Doctorally_Prepared_Faculty_Role_Differentiation) and with faculty evaluation policy (Policy 4.2.7; https://wiki.unmc.edu/index.php/CON_Faculty_Evaluation). It can be used in faculty orientations and for discussions of various aspects of faculty work.
