The Leadership Philosophy of the College of Nursing invites the College’s community of professionals (faculty, staff, and students) to embrace the qualities of leadership so as to co-create the College’s ability to meet its mission and vision. A philosophy of leadership calls us to:
- Anticipate and shape positive change
- Demonstrate resiliency and pro-active thinking
- Seek and nurture effective partnerships
- Encourage risk taking toward creative possibilities
- Enhance the motivation and performance of self and others
- Deliver results across boundaries
- Deepen self-knowledge toward one’s own growth in leadership abilities
