<p style="max-width:70em !important;">As a practice discipline, clinical experience is an important and integral part of learning.  It is during these experiences that socialization to the profession, exposure to the interprofessional teams, self-organization, and clinical competencies are advanced to demonstrate safe, quality patient, family, and community-centered care.  Clinical competency must be validated, therefore, absence from clinical learning is discouraged except under urgent or emergent circumstances.</p>
