All physicians and other health care professionals that have substantial teaching responsibilities within the medical curriculum (defined as assessing a student or being involved in more than 10% of the teaching of an individual student within a given block, clerkship, or rotation) must have a faculty appointment within a UNMC College or Institute. These include a Health Professions Faculty, Continuous, Joint Cross-Campus, Volunteer, Emeritus, Graduate Faculty, or Special Appointment as outlined by University of Nebraska policies. The teaching efforts of instructors not holding one of these must be overseen by an individual with a faculty appointment.
