Purpose
Establishes the criteria by which courses may be taken by unclassified students.
Scope
This policy applies to undergraduate students.
Policy
- Students may take up to four nursing courses through the College of Nursing as unclassified students as long as prerequisites are met and space is available. An unclassified student is defined as a student who is not admitted in any UNMC College of Nursing program.
- The following courses are available for unclassified students to take:
- NRSG 317/332-Pharmacology I & II
- NRSG 311/331-Pathophysiology I & II
- NRSG 316-Evidence Based Practice
- NRSG 415-Policy and Issues in Healthcare Delivery
- Clinical courses may not be taken by unclassified students except NRSG 444: Summer Externship
- The following courses are available for unclassified students to take:
- Students must be admitted to the College of Nursing and enrolled in at least one nursing course prior to the recording of any nursing credit earned by examination(s) administered by the College of Nursing.
