====General Position Description====
                        <li>At any time during the appeal process, the student will be entitled to examine the student’s school file and any materials which were used in determining the challenged grade.</li>
<p style="margin-bottom:15px; max-width:70em !important;">The Director of Global Health is accountable for the administrative, financial, and programmatic effectiveness of the College’s international activities. S/he, in partnership with the CON Global Health committee, is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of international programs in the College. The Director represents the College at University level planning for international programs in education, research, and practice. In addition, s/he represents the CON in funding initiatives and at the global and strategic level. </p>
                  </ol>

====Organizational Relationships====
              <li>A majority vote of the UG-ARC Hearing Board will determine the appeal outcome. </li>
<p style="margin-bottom:15px; max-width:70em !important;">S/he reports to the Associate Dean for Transformational Practice and Partnership in this administrative role. Works collaboratively with the Global Health Committee to support the tripartite mission from a global perspective.</p>
              <li>The student requesting the academic appeal will receive a decision on the appeal and, if a hearing is held, the student will receive a digital copy of the hearing, which will be considered the official copy.

====Responsibilities====
                        <li>When there is a hearing, the student may record, at their own expense, any hearing or proceeding at which the student is present, but this will not be recognized as an official recording. </li>

    <li style="margin-left:3em;">Provides leadership for effective international activities of the College, both in exploring new opportunities and in maintaining on-going programs</li>

    <li style="margin-left:3em;">Provides leadership in developing and implementing strategic vision related to global health</li>
              <li>The UG-ARC Hearing Board Chair shall submit the report and conclusions of the appeal in writing to the Undergraduate Program Director within 5 days after determining the final decision.  
    <li style="margin-left:3em;">Supports and leads the College in developing and maintaining effective relationships with partners local and abroad</li>
                  <ol type="i" style="max-width:64em !important;">
    <li style="margin-left:3em;">Establishes, maintains, and evaluates international programs in order to meet standards and regulations of nursing education at home and abroad</li>
                        <li>The UG-ARC Chair will notify the student and the faculty. The Undergraduate Program Director will notify the Division Assistant Dean, the Associate Dean of Academic Programs, and the Dean.</li>
    <li style="margin-left:3em;">In partnership with the UNMC Office for Global Engagement, the CON Office for Global Health and the Global Health committee, assures students and faculty are prepared for international travel representing the CON</li>
                  </ol>
    <li style="margin-left:3em;">In partnership with the Global Health Committee, evaluates student performance during and after international activities and provides mentorship and feedback</li>

    <li style="margin-left:3em;">In partnership with the Global Health Committee, advises on curricular initiatives related to global health</li>

                                  <li>The student faculty advisor may be present at the hearing but may not actually participate in the proceedings unless the UG-ARC chair specifically permits.</li>
    <li style="margin-left:3em;">Must have vision for and experience in international affairs as the impact global health issues in nursing </li>
                                  <li>Faculty may appear if desired or called to testify, may present prior submitted evidence, and answer questions from the UG-ARC Hearing Board.<ol type="1"><li>Faculty may also refuse any listed items in 4 (d) b (iii).</li></ol>
