General Position Description

The accelerated BSN coordinator position is primarily responsible for planning and facilitating implementation of the curriculum relative to the program objectives and outcomes. The accelerated BSN coordinator communicates with the director of the undergraduate program, the division assistant deans, students, administrators, and agency personnel as appropriate to facilitate the implementation of the accelerated BSN courses across all CON divisions. The individual leads the team that instructs in didactic and clinical settings for the accelerated BSN students.

The accelerated BSN coordinator reports to the undergraduate director and keeps the appropriate division assistant deans, and other administrators informed as needed.

General areas of responsibility include coordination of accelerated BSN curriculum to include development, implementation and instructional methods, advising, communication, evaluation and resource identification. In addition to responsibilities in the accelerated BSN curriculum, the coordinator may be asked to provide input into team members’ ongoing performance and development. This position builds on the role of the faculty team member and provides an opportunity to serve as a leader.
