General Position Description

The Director of Professional Graduate Programs serves as the academic administrative officer responsible for overseeing all graduate-level nursing programs, including MSN, PGC, and DNP pathways. This individual ensures that the programs align with the standards and policies of the College, the University, the State Board of Nursing, and accrediting bodies, maintaining excellence in nursing education at the graduate level. The Director facilitates curriculum planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement to uphold the highest standards in advanced clinical and leadership education.

Organizational Relationships

The Director of Professional Graduate Programs reports to the Associate Dean for Academic Programs and collaborates with division assistant deans, program directors, specialty coordinators, and faculty to enhance program effectiveness. This role involves collaborating with Directors of Student Services, Evaluation, and Learning Resource Centers to support recruitment, admissions, scholarships, program evaluation, and technological advancements. The Director is an ex-officio member on the Professional Graduate Nursing Affairs Committee.
