<li style="margin-bottom:15px;">The Division Assistant Dean/Supervisor has the responsibility to assist every new faculty appointee in determining the amount of emphasis (percent of effort) to place on each area of academic endeavor in accordance with Section 4.3 of the Bylaws of the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska. This selection should be compatible with activities required to achieve the long-term goals of tenure and eventual appointment to the rank of professor. </li>
