    • College of Nursing class and clinical activities canceled due to weather must be rescheduled.

Decision Making in Absence of Official Cancellation

If there is no official cancellation, but safety is a concern, individual faculty members/campus representatives must:

  • Consult their division assistant dean for guidance before cancelling activities.
  • Prioritize student and faculty safety when deciding on cancellations.
  • In instances of Preceptor/CSI-supervised off-campus experiences: faculty must coordinate with their students and the assigned nurse to determine next steps.

In the event of Off-campus activity cancellations:

    • Faculty/campus representative are responsible for:
    • Notifying students of cancellation via online learning platform.
    • Informing the clinical site if applicable.
    • Arranging make-up sessions for the canceled activities.
    • Ensure that the Division Assistant Dean is informed of all cancellations and make-up plans.

Courses Delivered Across Campuses

If a course is delivered via zoom simultaneously to multiple campus buildings, the following guidelines apply:

  • If the campus of origin building is closed due to weather, the class will transition to remote Zoom if possible.
    • A recording will be made available for later viewing.
  • If the campus of origin building remains open, but other campuses close, class will continue via zoom as scheduled allowing students from the closed campus to join remotely.
    • A recording will be made available for later viewing.
